MQDAR features for tailoring shops

Last updated:

MQDAR is a cloud platform for managing tailoring shops and workshops in Saudi Arabia. It runs in the browser on computers, phones and tablets with nothing to install, and each business gets its own link with isolated data. This page lists the features available today, with a detailed page for each main area.

Measurements and templates

Ready templates from the MQDAR library such as thobes, shalwar kameez, abayas and suits, with the number set by the plan, plus a catalog where you edit measurement fields and design options. On a customer's next order, staff can reuse their last measurements and design or start fresh, in inches or centimetres, with a ¼, ½ or ¾ fraction picker beside each measurement. Orders

Every order has a number, a status and a due date, with several people and several pieces in one order, and filters for late orders and orders due soon. Orders in detail

Workflow and stages

Clear stages from intake to delivery through cutting and sewing. Cutters and tailors claim orders, and each stage is linked to a job title. Workflow in detail

Invoices and payments

A customer invoice and a price-free workshop sheet, printed on A4, A5 or 80 mm and 58 mm thermal paper; partial payments by cash, card or bank transfer; a simplified tax invoice for VAT-registered businesses, standard tax invoices for business customers, credit and debit notes to correct issued invoices, and coupons, offers and a permission-based manual discount. Invoicing in detail

Customers

One profile per customer with phone number, saved measurements, orders, invoices and balance, plus account statements, duplicate merging and Excel import. Customers in detail

Staff and permissions

Staff accounts with ready roles (reception, cutter, tailor, cashier and more) or detailed permissions depending on the plan, an activity log, and HR in the plans that include it. Staff in detail

Branches

Several branches under one business within the plan limit, with a daily production limit per branch counted in pieces. Branches in detail

Inventory

Fabrics by metre or yard, rolls, warehouses, purchase orders and purchase invoices, suppliers, stock counts and weighted average cost. You can switch inventory on or off; orders and invoices work either way. Inventory in detail

Direct sales and POS

Sell ready-made products from stock — perfumes, caps, accessories and fabric by the metre — with cash, card or mixed payment, or add them to a tailoring order on the same customer invoice, with returns and sales reports. Available in every plan. Direct sales in detail

Reports and dashboard

Order, sales, customer and inventory reports with Excel (CSV) and PDF export, and a customisable dashboard. Advanced reports depend on the plan.

Languages and devices

The interface is available in Arabic, English and Urdu, and the customer invoice prints in the customer's language. It works in any modern browser, with no app or installation.

WhatsApp notifications and FATOORA readiness

  • WhatsApp notifications (coming soon): the service is ready to be switched on, with MQDAR as the central sender and two approved templates — order registration confirmation and ready-for-pickup notice — with the customer name, shop name and order number, in the customer's language (Arabic, English or Urdu); shops do not need to connect their own number. It will be available in the Pro plan at launch.
  • Ready for integration with the ZATCA FATOORA platform: signed simplified tax invoices with the ZATCA QR code and an XML file for VAT-registered businesses; the system is ready for integration with the ZATCA FATOORA platform (phase two).

Included services and the number of branches and users depend on the plan — see plans and pricing and the FAQ.
