Tailoring order management: track every order from intake to delivery
Last updated:
Tailoring order management software records every order with a number, status and due date, follows it from intake to delivery, and blocks handover before the order is paid.
The order is the centre of work in MQDAR: it starts at the front desk with the customer, template and measurements, moves through the workshop stages and ends with delivery after payment. Every order has a clear number, status and due date visible to everyone who needs it.
The problem it solves
• Orders running late because nobody knows where they are.
• Due dates promised without knowing how busy that day already is.
• Handing over garments to customers who have not paid the balance.
• Searching a notebook for an order by name or phone number.
How an order is created
1.Customer: type the phone number (Saudi Arabia by default, or an international number with its country code); returning customers appear with their details and measurements, new ones are created automatically.
2.Templates and measurements: one or more templates per person with quantities, and dependants when needed.
3.Fabric: from stock (reserved on save and deducted when the order is approved) or the customer's own fabric.
4.Review: the due date, with the branch's remaining capacity for each day if a limit is set, then the value, the deposit, and save.
5. After saving, the order moves automatically to the first workflow stage, and you print the workshop sheet, the customer invoice or both.
Following up on orders
• Ready filters: today, in progress, late, due soon (within two days), ready and cancelled.
• Search by order number, phone or name.
• From each order: details, change due date, print, and a button that opens a ready WhatsApp message on your device to notify the customer.
• An order pickup screen for the front desk to find the order when the customer arrives.
• Each employee sees the orders linked to their job title and stage; managers see everything.
Rules that protect the shop
• "Deliver to customer" completes only after the order is fully paid.
• Cancelling an order needs a reason, releases reserved fabric and keeps payments on record, flagging the order for a refund.
• Orders can be paused with a reason and resumed later.
• Editing an order does not change its value after saving.
Who it helps
Any shop that takes daily orders and gives due dates, from a single-branch shop to a multi-branch business.
FAQ
Can one order include more than one person?
Yes. One order can include the customer and their dependants (up to 20 people and 60 pieces), with one invoice and one order number.
Is the customer notified automatically when the order is ready?
Today, every order has a button that opens a ready WhatsApp message on your device to notify the customer; automatic WhatsApp notifications from the MQDAR sender, in the customer's language when the order is registered and ready, are coming soon (in the Pro plan at launch). The order tracking page is available to customers in the plans that include it.
How do I see late orders?
Use the "late" filter in the orders list; late orders also appear in the dashboard alerts.
