General
What is MQDAR?
MQDAR (مقدار) is a cloud-based SaaS platform designed for tailoring businesses to manage customers, measurements, orders, workflow, employees, branches, invoices and payments, depending on the plan. It runs in the browser and is built mainly for the Saudi market.
Who is MQDAR for?
Men's and women's tailoring shops, tailors, tailoring workshops, thobe shops, and businesses with a workshop and cutting and sewing stages — with one branch or several, VAT-registered or not.
Is MQDAR built for the Saudi market?
Yes. It is built mainly for Saudi Arabia: prices are in Saudi riyals, VAT-registered businesses issue a simplified tax invoice with ZATCA's QR code, and the interface is in Arabic, English and Urdu.
What are MQDAR's main services?
Measurements and templates, orders, workflow, invoices and payments, customers, staff and permissions, branches, inventory and reports. Details are on the features page.
How is MQDAR different from general business or POS software?
General software treats a thobe as a product and a quantity. MQDAR treats it as a template with measurements and design options, separates the customer invoice from the workshop sheet, and follows each order between cutter and tailor until delivery.
Does MQDAR work on mobile, and do I need to install anything?
It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers with nothing to install, and each business has its own link such as yourshop.mqdar.shop. There is no app in the app stores at the moment.
Which languages are supported?
The interface is in Arabic, English and Urdu, each user chooses their language, and the customer invoice prints in the customer's language.
Does MQDAR send automatic WhatsApp messages?
Not yet — coming soon. the service is ready to be switched on, with MQDAR as the central sender and two approved templates — order registration confirmation and ready-for-pickup notice — with the customer name, shop name and order number, in the customer's language (Arabic, English or Urdu); shops do not need to connect their own number. It will be available in the Pro plan at launch.
Is MQDAR integrated with FATOORA?
MQDAR is ready for integration with the ZATCA FATOORA platform: it issues VAT-registered businesses signed simplified tax invoices with a QR code and an XML file in line with ZATCA requirements, and the platform integration is ready to be activated.
Measurements
Can I record customer measurements?
Yes. Measurements are recorded inside the order for each piece, in inches or centimetres, and saved to the customer profile. Measurements in detail
Are measurements saved for the next order?
Yes. On the customer's next order for the same template, staff can reuse their last measurements (with or without the design); they appear shaded so you only change what is different.
Can I add my own templates or measurement fields?
You pick clothing templates from the MQDAR library up to your plan's limit (see the pricing page); adding a template later goes through the MQDAR team. Measurement fields, design options and their prices are edited in the templates and designs settings.
Can I record family members' measurements in one order?
Yes. Dependants (son, brother and so on) are added inside the order with their own measurements and pieces — up to 20 people and 60 pieces per order.
Orders
How do I follow late orders?
Use the "late" filter in the orders list; late orders also appear in the dashboard alerts, and there is a filter for orders due within two days. Orders in detail
Can an order be handed over before it is paid?
No. "Deliver to customer" completes only after the order is fully paid.
Can customers see their order status?
In plans that include tracking, customers open your business's order tracking page and type their phone number to see their order stage, due date and amounts. Automatic WhatsApp notifications when the order is registered and ready are coming soon (in the Pro plan at launch).
Workflow
Does MQDAR support an order workflow?
Yes. A default path from intake to delivery through cutting and sewing, and no stage can be skipped. Workflow in detail
Can I change the stages?
Yes, on every plan: add, remove and reorder stages and link each stage to a job title.
How is work split between cutters and tailors?
A new order appears for every cutter; whoever starts it claims it, then after cutting it moves to the tailors' list in the same way. No one can claim an order a colleague has already claimed.
Pricing and plans
Where can I see current prices?
On the plans and pricing page, shown straight from the approved plan catalog.
What is the difference between the plans?
Plans differ in the number of branches and users and in included services, such as advanced permissions, reports and workflow, HR, and order tracking for customers. The full comparison is on the pricing page.
Can I pay inside the system?
Not at the moment; payment and plan changes go through the MQDAR team. Online payment by customers is not available inside the system.
Account and sign-in
How do I sign in to my business account?
Through your business's own link (such as yourshop.mqdar.shop), or from client login by typing your business link name.
I forgot my business link. What should I do?
Ask the system manager at your business, or try your business name on the client login page.
Branches
Can I manage more than one branch?
Yes, within your plan's branch limit, each branch with its own orders and settings. Branches in detail
Is daily capacity counted in orders or pieces?
In pieces: the day's booking is the total quantity of pieces in non-cancelled orders due that day.
Staff
Can I manage staff?
Yes, with an account and permissions for each employee, ready roles, and HR in the plans that include it. Staff in detail
Can staff see profit and cost?
No, unless they are given the view-cost permission.
Can employees record their own attendance?
Not yet; attendance is recorded by a user with the permission.
Security and data
Is my data separated from other businesses?
Yes. Each business has its own link and isolated data, and no business can see another's data.
Who can see customer data inside my business?
Each user sees only what their permissions allow, and actions are recorded in the activity log.
Does the order tracking page show customer measurements?
No. It shows order status and amounts only, with no measurements, names or notes.
Where are the privacy and data retention policies?
Under policies and agreements, including the privacy policy and the data retention and deletion policy (Arabic is the official text).
Subscription
How do I subscribe?
You subscribe by sending a request from the website: choose a plan and billing cycle on the "Get started" page and enter your business details; we save your request and continue with you on WhatsApp, then the MQDAR team activates your account. There is no online payment or instant subscription on the website yet. Once activated, your business gets its own link and the setup assistant guides you through the details.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, through the MQDAR team. Downgrading does not delete data; you just cannot exceed the new limits.
What happens to my data when the subscription ends?
Access pauses, your data is kept and not deleted, and access returns after renewal.
Inventory, direct sales and invoices
Does MQDAR manage fabric inventory?
Yes. Each item has a card with its unit and an average cost from actual receipts. Shop fabric is reserved when the order is saved and issued with its waste when cutting is finished; customer-supplied fabric is never deducted. Details: Inventory management.
Can I sell perfumes, caps and accessories?
Yes, through direct sales: on their own or added to a tailoring order on the same customer invoice. A product is handed over immediately only after its value is paid.
How do I correct an issued invoice?
With a credit note (return, cancellation or discount) or a debit note (increase) linked to the original invoice number, without editing it. VAT-registered business customers receive a standard tax invoice.
Does it support coupons and offers?
Yes. Offers and coupons are created on the Offers page, the coupon code is entered when creating an order or in direct sales, and discounts do not stack.
