Managing tailoring shop staff: roles, permissions and HR
Last updated:
Managing tailoring shop staff means an account for every employee with permissions that decide what they see and do, linked to their job title and their workflow stage.
In MQDAR each employee has their own login and permissions that decide what they see and do, so everyone stays in their role and profit and cost figures stay with the people you allow.
The problem it solves
- One shared account for all staff, with no record of who did what.
- Staff seeing cost prices or data that is not theirs.
- No clarity on who is responsible for an order at each stage.
Users and roles
- Two types: "manager" with all plan permissions, and "employee" with specific permissions.
- Ready roles on the basic plan: reception, cutter, tailor, cashier/sales, production, supervisor, storekeeper and accountant.
- Detailed per-user permissions in the plans that include advanced permissions.
- Linking an employee to a job title decides which orders they see and which workflow stages they complete.
- Users are deactivated rather than deleted, and an activity log shows the time, user and action.
HR (depending on the plan)
In the plans that include HR:
- Employee records: added manually or by scanning the ID/iqama and contract, with the option to create a login.
- Attendance recorded by an authorised user, and leave (annual, sick, short permission, work assignment, unpaid) with an approval flow.
- Documents with alerts for missing and expired files, and salary letters, employment letters and experience certificates issued by the system with a verification code.
- A "my services" page for each employee: their details, requests, documents and leave.
